The Rocket Formerly Known as Black

The Death of TRFKAB

ç crashed on May 10, 2003 when the parachute for the airframe wedged inside the 'chute tube. TRFKAB came careening into the ground from 3000 feet, destroying the airframe but leaving the fins intact and the nose cone (which returned under a separate chute) undamaged. The story is actually lot funnier than that, but it can't be told very well without a lot of running around and arm-waving so I won't even try.

Now, nearly an year later, ç has been rebuilt. So I am publishing the photos of the destroyed rocket for the first time since it is also possible to display photos of the second generation TRFKAB.

We want your opinion, so make like a Chicago Democrat and vote early, vote often, vote even if you are dead. However, as this is an electronic ballot, West Palm Beach Democrats will need to find a better excuse than hanging or pregnant chads for failing to properly fill out the form.
