One Ring to Rule Them All
One of the maimed survivors of the GHS 2002 RTV Annual Drag Race was the rocket called "The Pagan Vegan Draggin' Wagon". The ring was part of the packaging material that protected a gas-powered leaf blower I bought a while back. Anyway, the chute failed at some point during the night race so it landed hard enough to destroy the forward tube and the pumpkin head. But I still liked the fin section, so I restored it using a coupler, a standard nose cone, and eight inches of 54mm tube.
This left a question of how to paint it and what to name it.
Brother Rick chose the original paint scheme, and while I contemplated a new one I mused over the way he had painted the original ring gold. What did that remind me of? Ah. Lord of the Rings.

I searched the Internet and found these graphics of the engraving on the One Ring. Presumably drawn by J.R.R. Tolkein himself (everyone should have two middle initials, I think). These graphics were not suitable for use as a decal, so I searched the Internet again and found a font called Tengwar Cursive. (To use this font, right-click [HERE!], select "Save Target As" and save in the Fonts directory of your Windows Systems folder).
I used this font to create a graphic (the file is downloadable [HERE!] as a .GIF if you should want such a thing). It isn't perfect, but it's close enough for people to recognize what it is when they look at it. I printed this out on decal paper from a color laser printer.

Which is cooler - the rocket or Billy's camera?
