| The airframe length of three feet was selected partly
because is would fit on a Rigid shop lathe, which Dave
bought just to do all my projects! . The end caps were
made using the centering ring router jig found
elswhere on Rocket Team Vatsaas. the caps and the lathe
make tube preparation a breeze The photo here shows
sanding smooth the air frame afterer filling the spirals
and dips with spot putty. |

| Dave Erickson models the Hindrocket
half way through. Without Dave's cheerful attitude
and willingness to do all the hard work, this project
would still be on paper. Thanks Dave! |

| Flutes: These
were made from pine half round moldings (11/16"
diameter). The flat edge was coped on a table saw so that
the mould molding would rest on the two outsided edges
instead of rocking on the center of the flat

| Rail Button Mount: The
rail button mount was designed to emulate the coin feed
apparartus on the prototype as much as practical. It is
mounted to the body tube with three screws in to block
epoxied to the inside of the motor tube.
