The Evil Grimace

Rick's Level One certification rocket. Rick was planning a trip to Arizona with his family, and it just happened to coincide with an SSS launch on April 12, 2003 - so Brad talked him into attempting his certification while he was here. It was an awesome, beautifully straight boost for a successful certification!

The name was inspired by the purple paint scheme. You may not remember, but Ronald McDonald's corpulent cohort was once his fiendish nemesis. This name recalls the halcyon days of fast food mascots when the Grimace not a jolly, polyp shaped protagonist, but a psychotic, six-limbed, multi-pocketed marsupial that went about thieving artificial dairy products from unsuspecting minors.

At left is the original concept drawing, which went by the working title "Garage Logician". Other than the paint scheme and a change in the nose cone from ogive to multi-conical, the final design stayed faithful to the original.

Above is a depiction of the original multi-appendeged Evil Grimace. While the Hamburglar devoted a life of crime to the aquisition of ground beef, the Evil Grimace favored the furtive filching of flavored froth.

The question now is: Whatever happened to Mayor McCheese?

We want your opinion, so make like a Chicago Democrat and vote early, vote often, vote even if you are dead. However, as this is an electronic ballot, West Palm Beach Democrats will need to find a better excuse than hanging or pregnant chads for failing to properly fill out the form.
