Flight of the Hindrocket

First flight of the Hindrocket was on the second day of GHS 2004: on an absolutely perfect launch day, no wind and a deep blue sky. Days later, pictures were posted on the nationally acclaimed web log Powerline.

A final photo op before launch. Man, I wish I had a slender waist and V-torso like the Hindrocket.

Unless otherwise noted. Photos are by Billy Dahlberg.

.25 Seconds off the pad. What ever worries I had about the rail buttons sticking on the launch rail are now over.

.75 seconds, 100 feet up. This is definitely my favorite shot.

1.25 seconds and 300 feet up. Billy's photograpy here is incredible!

Recovery is also picture perfect, thank to Cory McCormick's Rocketman Chute.

As planned, the fins broke clean off on impact. Cost to replace: Less than a Carumba's Burrito.

Video!

Great video of the Hindrocket thanks to Marvin from Sticky Stuff, who came out to his first launch and caught this on his camera. Its not his fault some kid stuck his head in front of the camera. For that we blame Karl Rove.

We want your opinion, so make like a Chicago Democrat and vote early, vote often, vote even if you are dead. However, as this is an electronic ballot, West Palm Beach Democrats will need to find a better excuse than hanging or pregnant chads for failing to properly fill out the form.
