The methods for constructing the nose cap and engine nozzles were the same. The first step was to fashion the items out of poster board. Then I fiberglassed them on the inside of the paper forms. The last step was to paint the outside with two-part poly resin sanding primer and sand smooth.
The nose cap is a cone; the engine nozzle is made of two frustums (a frustum is like a cone with the pointy end snipped off). We have a nifty calculator for determining the dimension of the 2D paper shapes available [HERE!].
