SS1 Team Photoshop

There is a mockup photo of a collection of RTV participants posing with a 1:4 scale model of the SpaceShipOne on our SS1 Home page. I had created this composite photo when we first conceived of the project to help create some enthusiasm in the team for building the rocket. That of course was a pipe dream, but I still like the results and posted the photo anyway.

I've had a few individuals tell me that they were surprised that this photo is not a completed rocket. Because of this unintended confusion, I thought the upright thing to do is to reveal my mad Photoshop skillz to the world. I hope this full disclosure will clear up this misunderstanding once and for all.

This is the original team photo snapped by Nadine Kinney at GHS2004. The group pictured in the photo is the one that participated in our last big Evil Bert drag race.
This is the photoshop. It doesn't take much to recognize that the light exposure on the added faces is all wrong; there are a couple of guys with two left arms; there are a lot of orphaned shadows after the Berts have been removed; etc. Feel free to document the differences for yourself. But I'm still pretty impressed with the picture given that I am such an amateur at Photoshop.
