SS1 Nose Cone and Engine Nozzle

The methods for constructing the nose cap and engine nozzles were the same. The first step was to fashion the items out of poster board. Then I fiberglassed them on the inside of the paper forms. The last step was to paint the outside with two-part poly resin sanding primer and sand smooth.

The nose cap is a cone; the engine nozzle is made of two frustums (a frustum is like a cone with the pointy end snipped off). We have a nifty calculator for determining the dimension of the 2D paper shapes available [HERE!].

We want your opinion, so make like a Chicago Democrat and vote early, vote often, vote even if you are dead. However, as this is an electronic ballot, West Palm Beach Democrats will need to find a better excuse than hanging or pregnant chads for failing to properly fill out the form.
