Nose Cone Modification

There have been several scale models we have built that have a nose cone shape with a sharper tip than those commercially available. It is fairly simple to change the shape with a paper cone and some epoxy.

These pictures show, in sequence, the changes to the cone. Make a paper cone, fill it with resin, and center it on the nose. Putty and sand, putty and sand, etc, etc. The nose cone pictured on the right shows the cone with filler putty prior to sanding. If done right, the modifications are undetectable on the finished product.

We want your opinion, so make like a Chicago Democrat and vote early, vote often, vote even if you are dead. However, as this is an electronic ballot, West Palm Beach Democrats will need to find a better excuse than hanging or pregnant chads for failing to properly fill out the form.
