NotRocs - Smoking Paraphenalia

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em

From a website that is all in Japanese. This lighter looks a lot like the Rocket Trash Can at the top of the page. It's almost more derigible-like than rocket-like. The USA insignia is upside-down, making me wonder if it is really a bomb and not a rocket -- which makes me wonder even more what those Japanese lighter manufacturers might be thinking...

Combination lighter and launch gantry. I like the blimp/rocket/bomb more than this one, because at least on that one the flame comes out the correct end. This one simulates a forward closure failure when you flick it.

These lighters date back to the art-deco era. I think Gene Roddenberry may have gotten some inspiration from the item above.

This GIRD 9 cigarette holder comes from Russia where the political incorrectness of smoking hasn't quite caught on. The cigarette dispenser I can understand, but I don't quite get the cigarette holder. How do you use it? Do you pick it up when you need a drag, or do you bend down toward the table and pull on that heater no-handed? Maybe it's a ploy to get the populace to quit smoking by making them feel like complete idiots.

America's rocket contribution to smoker's hack". If you think this ashtray looks groady, try not to think about the owner's lungs.

I never knew that Huntsville billed itself as "The Rocket City". It now calls itself "The Space Capital". As if space has its own government.

A nice, shiny spacecraft ashtray. Unused.

At first glance, this looks like an airplane. The unusual tail apparently makes this bird into a spacecraft. It's doubtful that you could get it to fly straight, though.
