The Stuff in John's Garage

For several years now, our cousin John has been listed as an honorary member of our little rocket team but no one has bothered to write up a biography for him. And it didn't look like was going to happen any time soon, either.

When John sent us photographs of the airfoil he was working on for our SS1 project, there were items visible in the background of those photos that provide hints into the details of John's life. So we created this page. It was enough to actually inspire John to write up his own biography a few days later.

Which is, in turn, not enough to stop ribbing him about it. So here it is: The Stuff in John's Garage!

John must have promised his wife he would shingle the roof. The shingles now serve as a shelf for boxes of hubcaps, silver Christmas garland, and a place to lean his lug wrench.

Spray pant.
Motor Oil
Plastic bag of unidentified stuff.

Downhill skis. John is a great skier (at least he was once, many years ago).

Tool box, car battery. Propane tank sitting on a stack of shingles.

Like every other responsible Minnesotan, John recycles and shops at Cub Foods.

A spare car door. I think we all agree that every family needs at least one of these.

High chair. John has about a hundred kids, so this has seen a lot of use.

A couple of buckets. Used to bathe his many children, no doubt.

Bunkbed headboards and a deep freezer. The temperature in the garage was probably about five degrees farenheit when this photo was taken. Subtle irony.

A shovel and a twin bedframe.
.

Jack stands and a mechanic's trolley. A 'GIANT 39" STAR' (not the Ninja throwing variety). More buckets and Cub Food detritus.

Who uses a ladder this short?
.

A CD shelf with no CD's on it.
Kind of sad, really.

A folding stool
with no butt in it.

A barbell and more roofing material.

I don't know what this is.
An unused beer bong, maybe.

We want your opinion, so make like a Chicago Democrat and vote early, vote often, vote even if you are dead. However, as this is an electronic ballot, West Palm Beach Democrats will need to find a better excuse than hanging or pregnant chads for failing to properly fill out the form.
