GHS 2002 TEDMAPOD Flight
The Evil Dr. Manchu's Avenging Projectile of Doom
Perhaps the most notable part of this flight was that the motor was an I110 from West Coast Hybrids. Rick had purchased this motor and this was the first flight - and it was awesome, soaring to 1188 feet. The only let down was the on-board video. Being hybrid neophytes, we started the camera too early and the video memory was used up while it was still on the pad and the tank was pressurizing.
We'd like to especially thank Andy Woerner for his help in getting this rocket into the air. He was awesome, hanging out while we got our act together prepping our rocket, waiting to tear down his gear until we were ready to fly, and then showing us how it's done. Thanks, Andy!
